so i cooked up this plan to propose to my girlfriend... and i did it. we had this big, intense argument before we got together, about how she knew what she wanted and she was wondering what she had to do to get me to commit. i wanted to... badly. the timing of us getting together was rough at first, but things are just wonderful now.
so i decided i would take her to the exact same spot and lay it on the line for her. it was around the corner from a local pub where we see bands all the time. i made a stencil of two horseshoes (you'll see why later) and stenciled the spot.
so i wrote her a letter, basically a history of us knowing each other for two years and recently, becoming a couple and being madly in love. at the end of the history lesson, it was open-ended, and i proceeded to tell her how in love with her i was and asked her to someday be my wife. she said yes and we had the greatest night ever. this was september 21st. what a grand evening.
last night, we went back to the spot and took some pictures for fun.
the ring. it's perfect for her. she had always wanted a ring like this... and i didn't even know it when i got it.
i am the luckiest man alive.

Buddy, I split town and found a house in PDX sooner than I thought. I was only in town for 3 days and then came to look for work and a house and it all just went much much better than I thought. Congratulations buddy. We'll both be married men-I'll give you a call later today if I get a chance. Mike Drake etc all say what up-I'll pass on the good news-
