Hey guys and gals,
As you can see I changed screenname a bit to something more creative than just Sako(which is my first name in real life, I'm Armenian). I would also like to say that I'm going to the Death Angel/Kreator/Vader concert on April 23, which is right before April 24, when Armenian Genocide is remembered.
That part of history really pierces into my soul, it really saddens me. Some of you may think that it's disrepectful to a metal show the night before a genocide memorial day, but no form of music can help me escape from the real world and its horrors like metal can. It's ironic that music largely themed around death and destruction can be an escape from real-life death and destruction. The Armenian Genocide is something that happened in the past, I remember it on it's day, but I don't hold on to it too strongly. If I do and can't find some outlet for it, it'll eat me up inside and make me very miserable. I do not hold this against any individual Turk, if a Turkish person is cool and friendly I'm cool and friendly back. I just wish the Turkish government would acknowledge they commited a genocide 90 years ago and move on, we don't need another century of this bullshit denial.
I'm hoping that the security people at the show would let me bring a camera in. I would be more than happy to give you pics of Kreator, Vader, and others.
