For those of you that didn't hear the trumpet fanfare, I suppose it warrants mentioning that "I'm going to write another blog entry, now."
I'm going to post some pictures, because seeing Odyne put works up in her blog reminded me that I've been maintaining the silly charade that I'm going to post art for far too long; and really, I feel as though it's hurt our relationship. Take me back! I've changed!
Anyway:
This and the next two are rough drafts of designs I'd like to see realized in the form of tattoos one day. The personified sun is my favorite, though I'd like it to ultimately mimic a more 19th-century style.
This is an older one that reflects my odd love of the "Alice" books. It's largely unfinished, which is why you see no hands on the clock, and why it's smudgey.
A couple months old, I could never get this design to look "right", but the idea is there. I'm probably going to give this one another try in the near future.
To spare you all an image-intensive post on an already image-intensive site, I've put a couple more drawings (which are just pencil sketches- I only work in #2 Bic mechanical pencil, kids; this is pure art brut. ) in the "Pics" area, which I've heretofore left unused.
This thing is already a little long, so I'll sum up other barely interesting events that have occurred:
-Got a job, am now a coffee flunky.
-Repaired an old 12-string guitar that was found in my basement, and have enjoyed playing it.
-Became irritated when washing machine skipped the spin-cycle for the fifth consecutive time, contemplated what weapon would be ideal for squelching a machine rebellion, chose a 2x4.
Until next time!
