Well, the past few days have been insanely busy, but not with the usual holiday bustle that you would think.
It all started Friday night with a few drinks and the news that our friend Kim had gone into labor. We got home around 3 am, woke up at 10 and set off to go do our days errands, like go to pick up Nick's glasses, stop and get a bottle of wine for a party we were going to that night, and see if we could find ourselves a puppy to love (we didn't get a chance for that!).
We visited our friends in the hospital to see the new addition to our second family, and she's absolutely adorable! After that, we headed out to the east side for Nick's office party. We left around 10 and about 2 miles outside of town the tones dropped- house on fire! Well, for an exciting night, I dropped Nick off at the fire station and came home. He finally made it home at 4:30 in the morning after saving these poor people's house from burning to the ground. So, everyone please make sure your chimneys are cleaned!
The worst part about the whole thing (aside from the whole house on fire thing) is the shower after he spends a night in a fire. Basically, the soot and smoke nestles itself into your shower and suddenly the place where you get clean is the dirtiest place in your house...
I just spent an hour cleaning the shower....
So how is everyone else doing on this fine Sunday?

I am mostly good. I went downtown for a couple drinks and food, did some shopping. I enjoyed the Christmas lights and music they were playing at the open air mall.
