WHICH WAY IS THIS WAY?

There are few 'negatives' to living 3 blocks from work. The commute is often stress free. Every so often there is a traffic jam of two, three maybe four pedestrians. Usually this is not an issue so I will not go into how there are two lines and it is really easy to stay between them when crossing the street. Except when a vehilce has decided the second line is the limit line.

Several times a week I get stopped and asked directions. Usually it is to the Ambulatory Care Center (ACC). Also known as the Ellison building after the Oracle guy. Most of the time people are holding a single sheet of paper map and still can't find the building. Once or twice is fine. Some just can't read maps. But at 15-20 incidents a month means there needs to be a bigger sign than the 40 foot high letters on the side of the ACC. People don't look up three stories for an address generally.

Yesterday was a rare occurrence. "Where is the damn Sports Medicine Clinic!"

Counting the teeth was once a hobby in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Never thought this would be a Sacramento game.

"Actually that is on J Street," pointing West on Stockton Blvd seemed to be a generally accepted and international gesture to 'head that way'.

"Where the hell is J Street?"

All I could do is verbalize - "go that way - turn right on Alhambra or even a few blocks past Alhambra."

They sped away as fast as a 70's Chrysler can.

I probably should have explained the concept that J street is a one way street and it runs West to East. And the cross streets are numbered streets. Numbers are what you do for counting and letters are what you use for spelling.

Yes. I am trying to limit my verbalized sarcasm.
