how many holidorks do you see?
well tonight was fun all around. after work i hooked up with my friend felici and all of her "punk" friends. (well, some of them looked and acted decently.) other than having to endure cursive and against me!, it was pretty swell, even if i did have to sit through a lengthy discussion as to the definition of "hardcore." ah, high schoolers.
at work today, a coworker and i spent the majority of the afternoon on the upstairs porch counting middle-aged vacationers wearing holiday themed sweaters. we like to call them holidorks. i got up to 8!
currently on my list:
air deck safari vol. 2 (while this compilation itself is wonderful-- ranging from dusty springfield to snoop dogg-- the cds themselves are irritatingly sub-par. apart from the typo of "funkabelic" the track listing is inaccurate and there is a cd-r type gap between tracks. with that being said, i must admit i love it.)
tetsu inoue ambiant otaku (lovely electronic music. the tracks on this one are generally 15 minutes long each.)
philip glass naqoyqatsi (i'm still kinda putting off listening to his einstein on the beach opera; it sounds very time-consuming even if well worth it.)
holopaw holopaw (i like these guys. they're from gainesville; can't wait to see them live.)
franoise hardy la question (i think i'm in love with someone old enough to be my grandmother. utterly captivating.)
