wow. i just wrote so many words, and accidentally deleted them all..
oh well. it wasn't that interesting, anyhow.
i threw this picture in(of me and member-gone-grey anyanka from thursday), because posts with pictures are more enticing.
so, i guess in sum:
~I should and want to write a book of all my interesting life adventures and quandries.
~ i declined a drink from someone last night, and hate how i have to be forever suspiscious of stranger-guys, and hate how just being friendly turns into being called naive tease. i gave a way too honest (i was in a very genuine/honest mood last night) and articulate explanation to my decline, and he said 'i bet you think a lot' i said 'that's why i drink a lot. cheers.' He ended up being very nice, and buying my neighbor, Ed a drink when he bumped into us later, while my out-of-town friend was being his energetic dancing monkey self on the dancefloor. it took me a few drinks and the arctic monkeys to finally make me dancy, towards the end of the evening.
~Earlier this week, i was reminded of why i always need to be suspicious of stranger guys. Sucks when you think you've made a new friend, and they just end up being a douche who's only interested in fucking your body.
~I've been trying to work on a tattoo design for my dad all day...part of a father's day present. i can't wait to see my family (mom on july 2, dad a few days after the 17th, maybe my sister next week, because i anticipate getting ansy around bmore and ny is fun and one of my best friends is having his first solo performance on the 28th..)
~There's a zombie walk tomorrow that i might want to go to. cause, you know how i do, and if you don't, here's a reminder:
if there were cash prizes, i'd be there in a second, but there are none, so it's just another option of vacation-filing.
~this made me lol
i've started compiling a perfect soundtrack to sum up a lot of paradoxical feelings for the past few weeks. Music is a very potent drug. if you don't know theses songs, you should really make friends with them, cause they're all sorts of awesome.::

The Cure- lost
Tilly and the wall- Let it rain
Piano Magic- i came to your party dressed as a shadow
Velvet Acid Christ- slut
Cat Power- Still in love
Cat Power- Not what you want
Ani difranco- the diner
(okay, way too much ani, i know.- she basically has written the soundtrack to my entire life, and i'm SOSOSOSO sad that i can't see her play in DC tomorrow. le sigh.)
-Virtue
-Jukebox
- carry you around
-Providence- ain't that the way-slide- knuckle down
Mirah- body below
- Pretty Eyes
- Promise to me
Bright Eyes- Pull my hair
Bjork- human behavior
Murder by death- Until morale improves, the beating will continue
New order- Bizzare love triangle
PJ Harvey- One line
Portishead- Sour times
-Biscuit
- Glory box
the postal service- clark gable
ReginaSpektor-Fidelity

dust in the wind rules.
have you heard the Handsome Boy Modeling School track with Cat Power? It was my introduction to her and it's amazing. It's called I've Been Thinkin. That whole ALBUM rules actually. White People. Get it. Yes.
OMG you listen to Piano Magic. Why haven't we discussed music yet??
Have you heard the Frente cover of Bizarre Love Trangle? I think it was popular in the early 90s. It always stuck with me. SO pretty.
And Mirah, body below... god, I think that song is my anthem for Scott. Shoot me. egh.
PJ Harvey was my first girl crush. I saw her live with Live in like, 1994 or something. At merriweather I think it was.
Portishead. A new love I developed only last year.
Bjork and Bright Eyes = pull my heart out.
You and I need to have like, a music crunching sesson. I think we'd pee ourselves over the amazing stuff we'd discover. ♥
Brains!
