ani llama = ani difranco
a name used rarely, but i like it. somthing in the way her wit and conscience battle for your affections makes her totally irresistable to me. i've been listening for over a decade, so i must be hooked. what can i say, i'm a shameless fan.
other note:
got a great cd yesterday (don't be soured by my ani jive, i have more than a 1 track mind). group from tokyo called THE PILLOWS. they did the music for a short anime series, flcl. good power pop. if you think that material issue would sound good a little more melencholly and in japanese, you'd like these kids.
funny story.
seems as though body piercing has changed since i got mine done. i've had nipple rings for about 8 years and, while dating a body piercer, got into stretching them. definitely a wonderful world. highly reccomended. she did the work as a friend, not as a professional, so i didn't get all of the meticulous verbal and written instructions that usually come with the territory. there were no problems with 10s 8s or 6s (she wants me to look iml - nevermind that i am not affiliated, but it is a good look for my build). then came the 4s. this is when i found out that all my piercing and stretching info came from the stone ages. about 8 years ago, you were supposed to keep the jewelery moving. don't let it get crusty. clean it constantly. bacitracin was still a good thing.
oh how the times have changed. learning the hard way is fun if you like feeling retarded.
last night my left nipple split vertically. just a small split, off to one side. had to switch to very small 4g barbells (good way 2 drop $100) instead of the righteous 5/8" circular barbells i had. sad. good news is i'll probably only lose a little bit of my nipple. i should be able to keep the piercing and i may still be able to stretch it further. joy. miss b felt terrible. she almost passed out when she saw it. great piercer and beautiful person that she is, she took care of me for her pride and my health. she'd never had a bust-out before in all her years, and couldn't believe i was her 1st. we both just assumed that i knew stuff that i didn't. shit happens. nipples come and go. she did a great job and i can't thank her enough. she refused a tip, probably out of embarassment, but i'm definitely gonna take her out soon to thank her. she is the bestest.
can't wait until i get to put the big jewelery in again.
{stares fondly to the not so distant future}
i didn't think that so much could have changed in the world of body piercing in such a, seemingly, short time. i feel like a dinosaur and i'm not even 30. hey, i'm still lucky to know and love a pro.
new policy: assume i don't know shit about shit.
cheers to keeping most of my left nipple.
pictures available on request.
so ends another long-winded tale of interest.
as a PmuthafuckinS:
very sad to hear of heather's departure. hope she sticks around the boards, but i understand if she doesn't. like the road warrior, now begins the tireless search for
heAt.
say it with me
