Gotta catch up with you soon, you about any time this week?

Well all shitty things aside it wasn't the worst week in the world.

TMF Rock festival was good fun, got to hang out with some cool bands, enjoy the fruits of someone's Jaegermeister sponsorship and all this before leaving at 6 o'clock to race into town for the oft mentioned Social Distortion gig at the Astoria. This was one of the gigs of the year...

Have some bands to check out, these all have a Ska thing going on in various ways and some more than others and some may say, some not at all.

Razbari Sumthing - cheers to Brandon from AbsolutePunk for this one.

The Hitchers - these i found for myself a while back.

The Grit - always dossing around Enterprise studios, decent guys, great tunes and...

Well, I had other areas of the States to visit before heading to L.A. so I'm dealing with that first.

But as of tomorrow I'm on the Southwestern leg of my journey. I hope to be in LA by the 19th so I can catch Crimson Sweet at the Scene Bar that night

How often is it that unplanned, go with the flow things are so much fun.

the ability of one person to totally turn around a pretty harsh week and make it something memorable for totally good reasons is what makes us stand apart.

one day i will learn to write, strange that i have made money out of writing in the past and yet cant...

Saturday drove down to Launceston, which is a small place with a castle. It was raining that drizzly annoying rain which just gets under your skin.
Castle Rock festival was more like a fete to be fair but they had some decent bands there, including Fleeing New York, B Movie Heroes and Rueben so all was not bad.
Gig was cool, despite the not...

Shit, hope you get the card prob sorted out soon.
Wanted to see Social D but can't cos not got enough energy at the mo which is a bit gutting.
Saw Mando Diao supporting The Donnas and they blew me away. I was still getting to grips with my camera though so had to do a fair bit of editing on the photos.

small things make you happy?

what kind of small things?

It's been a while but not a whole lot has happened, well it has but reluctant to write about it.

Sweden was cool, an amazing place full of some way cool people. Stayed with the guys in Mando Diao who were genial hosts and played an awesome homecoming set at the Peace & Love festival which is bizarrely in the middle of a shopping centre....

Self Destruction pops up to say hello again.

No worries i put him back in his place. Well he did some damage but i saw it coming and managed to sort it out before too much.

Off to Sweden on thursday for some Peace & Love and to hang out with some top guys, who are hugely under appreciated over here.

Download rocked, very busy weekend but well worth it. Got to see a few bands but not as many as i would've liked. seeing The Used and Mastodon from the stage was pretty cool but highlight of the weekend probably goes to hanging with The Dwarves including Rex Everything and the acoustic set they did backstage.

Work wise was a good one too despite the...
