Puppy was wonderful! I was not prepared to be so overwhelmed...their music has been a great emotionally cathartic experience in my life. As soon as they began to play, it all came back...the power of pain of loss and of resolve...all at once. They played a few older songs that had been pivotal in my life of "demon purging" and I could not stop crying...But they were tears of pure "emotion" not sadness. They were tears of cleansing. I will always need that in my life.
I saw lots of people I hadn't seen in ages, (which was cooler than I thought it would be). I also got to meet and hang w/some very cool people, lust after some very lovely ladies and drink plenty. Good times!
We went to Black Cat after the show ended and hung out some more. I got to confirm w/my husband that the Cat is not his type of hangout (he's not a drinker) so now he won't bitch and want to come with me whenever I go. He did benefit from my drinking though...When we got home, we fucked and I let him drive this time!!! See, when we have sex, I tend to run the show. He really should have taken more advantage of my alcohol induced passivity. We joked about that today...He's such a good "boy." He's not nearly as twisted as I am.
His innocence is one of the things I found so appealing about him when we first met. 'Course that was 10 years ago and he hasn't changed that much. But I do love him...
