My mother love to talk way to much. She loves to talk about herself mostly, but don't know if this is because I'm generally unresponsive or she is just that self centered. There have been several instances where I have put down the phone, walked away, did something in another room, came back to the phone, and she was still going strong like I never left the conversation. WHO DOES THAT?!?!
It wouldn't be so bad if it was every once and a while, but I mean EVERY SINGLE time we talk, it's the same thing. I know it's not just me, my dad says the same thing. (My parents have been divorced for about 20 yrs, but recently they sparked a best friend type relationship, CREEPPY but its pretty cool). Anyhow, my dad says its the same way when he talks to here. BLAH, BLAH BLABBITTY BLAH.
Whew! That felt good to get off my chest. As you can tell we just wrapped up a conversation. Or at least she did, and I checked my messages
Later, I need a salad.

You know what I think - I think they are depressed - that's what I've decided. It must be hard finding the perfect partner and them loosing them. And even just growing older. It seems so distant now, but you cant be so reckless as you age, people pigeon hole you more etc etc (I've been thinking about that a bit lately).
It sounds as if she loves you loads if she want to talk to you so much though - treasure that. One day she'll be gone - and you'll miss those calls
..i just had a big, not argument, but disagreement with my folks re tattoos - I was visiting and told them that im about to get my big ink to join my little ones together on may 27th - and both think it's a stupid idea and will look awful - sometimes you have to become the parent and rise above it!!
