So this week has been interesting so far. Long story short, Tuesay is my final night. Read on if you want the boring details or continue past the next section. Suit yourself, I'm easy.
On Sunday I was reminded that Monday was a holiday. I decided that I needed to ask how I was to handle it. Normally, since I work shift work, I would simply work the holiday and take a day off later on, but seeing as this was my final week I thought it wise to see if I needed to take the holiday off (which I could have, very slow, very boring night at work), or if I needed to take Tuesday or Wednesday off. I sent an email to the three manager types that I have (one of whom was in an email conversation at the time with a co-worker) and received no reply. Another gentleman sent an email to the manager from the earlier email conversation at around midnight and received a reply within a minute. I took that to mean that I was simply being ignored. Shortly before going into work I spoke with another of the manager types only to be told that he couldn't make those kinds of decisions. He called the afore mentioned manager and was told to relay to me that I could take Wednesday off.
So my friends have decided that they want to go play paintball on Saturday morning. I haven't played in a very long number of years, but I'm still up for it just to see how bad I have become. Besides I get to shoot people. I told the friend who is organizing it to make sure that there is a newbie field so that we don't end up on some professional field where we are out of the game within the first five seconds. After that it is back to his house for showers, grilling, and D&D. No clue as to what Sunday holds. There is also the big gap between Tuesday night and Saturday morning to fill as well.
One thing that must be accomplished is X-Men 3. We were all set to go watch it last Friday, but the place we went was sold out for every showing that we could go to. We went and watched Over the Hedge instead. I highly recommend the movie just to watch the squirrel if anything else. I am going to try to meet up with one of the guys from work to go see it on Thursday, but no solid plans as of yet.
I know that I want to go back down to the aquarium if I get a chance this week. I haven't been there in a month, and I miss the fishies. Plus on the ever so gentle nudge from bibliachica I'm going to go find a library to get a book to read. I have finally made it through all of the books in my house (which is quite a feat). Any suggestions?

i haven't paintballed in a loooong time. it's so fun! i rarely hit anything, i just like shooting the gun.
i like guns. i just was making arrangements last night to go shoot real guns while i'm up visiting family and friends in wisconsin. whee! i'll be sure to take photos. who doesn't like librarians with semi automatic weapons?!?
book suggestion-- if you haven't read it-- the curious incident of the dog in the night-time is a quick, interesting, thought provoking read. i'm gonna reread geek love this week i think.
So since you haven't touched any Kundera yet... I would HIGHLY recommend The Unbearable Lightness of Being. Soooo well written. His thoughts and philosophies blow me away in the best ways possible.
