So the job's "Holiday Party" is Wednesday night. It is at a decent eatery, but a problem arises when one considers that the largest portion of my coworkers and I are scheduled to work during the same time that the party will be happening. So far my boss hasn't made mention whom will be going and whom will be staying. For those who are staying so far no compensation has been planned so I have no desire to stay, but since I'm not happy with my current job circumstance I'm not all that keen on going but would rather go and have a nice dinner than stay and get nothing at all.
I have discovered that I will be working on at least Christmas day and there is a possibility of having to work more weekends between now and the end of the month. This is happening because I changed jobs earlier in the year but everyone else had scheduled their time off before I started. So since they were already scheduled to be off I, as the new guy in the office, get to work for them while they are off enjoying their time off. Lucky me.
