Another day, another journal...
Theres so much going on right now, there is no time for collected thoughts. Instead you get random babble.
First I want to thank everyone for 2 things. 1- For all the emails and warm sentiments following my unfortunate bike accident last Friday. I really appreciate it. I have since bought a new bike for $50. I was afraid of shelling out triple figures for another bike that might figure to be shelled. I know, I know, I shouldnt live in fear. I should just buy the $400 bike and not let these crazy drivers out there influence my decision, but in all honesty, I dont want to dip too hard into my savings as I have been saving for something big in a few months, perhaps another car. $50 is nothing to me; I drop $50 in my sleep and dont wake up. I dont know what that means either.
The second reason Im thankful is for all the wonderful compliments many of you have given me on some recent journals. You guys rock and give me that boost of confidence that every struggling wannabe needs to continue to grow. You guys and gals rock like Guns N Roses in 1989, or how about you guys and gals rock like fill in favorite band here in their best year. I think compliments are important, dont you?
I just got off the phone with the captain of my new softball team. I didnt play last summer due to my agent miscalculating my worth on the free market, but I was not going to let that happen again. I hammered out an arrangement and agreed to a 10-game deal that begins this Sunday morning. I am penciled in to play 1st base. Please wish me luck. I havent played softball or baseball since JV baseball in high school in 1992. Lets see that would make me around how old? Hey! No math in this journal entry.
Moving on, my oldest friend is coming into town from San Francisco in 2 weeks. When I say oldest friend, I dont mean hes 72. I simply mean that Ive known him since I was 8. To celebrate his re-entry into the Buffalo system, we are going to take a short trip to Letchworth state park for a few days of camping and wildlife. I think theyll be plenty of animals too. Letchworth is often called the Grand Canyon of the East. I took a reconnaissance trip out there last evening and I have to say its beautiful. Its serene and green baby. I cant wait. I do feel a little weird though because almost everyone who is going is bringing their wife/girlfriend so Im currently taking applications for anyone who wants to get away from it all for at least 2 days.
In the spending money department, Im currently typing this out on my brand new 17 LCD Flat screen monitor. I have to say that money truly is the root of something because now that I see how cool this monitor looks, everything else around it doesnt look so hot. My keyboard, mouse, mouse pad, disc drive crap. Does this ever happen to you? You go out and get a really nice pair of shoes, or a new bag, a new hat, a new jacket, or a new dress and then realize everything else around it has to be upgraded now too. I think Adam Sandler said it best: We are living in a material world and I am a material girl, or boy.
Lastly I want to welcome you to my wonderful website. I closed it down over a year ago, due to boredom and lack of inspiration. I recently bought more space on it, removed all the ads and the last 2 weeks Ive been updating and fixing it up. Not every page on the site is perfect or updated to my liking, but I think I feel silly enough about it again to open it up to the public. The site exists only because I have too much time on my hands and is so ridiculous that you shouldnt even begin to take it seriously. Here it is: Eddie's Mind Stop in, say hi, explore my dementia, laugh at me, and feel free to offer opinion or ideas that can help me make the site better. I must warn you though; I have no formal HTML, Flash, Java or any website training. With that in mind please go see my silly dumb website and I hope you all have a nice weekend.

yes, i HAVE noticed the "now i have to buy a new.....(insert accessory here)... and all because i bought that new... (insert item here)!" can be a bit brutal on the pocketbook
i will be sure to check out your website and likely leave input--just because i'm opinionated . wait, no... it's because you asked for it, isn't it? lol.
