This is a little known fact, but when I'm not working, working out or being a wiseguy I dabble in wisdom.
Eddie the Wise they call me. I find it funny when commenting on the obvious is considered wise, but most times it is. Of course I often state that the only thing I know is that I know nothing. That is not mine, it is Socrates, but I believe it all the same. So how can I believe I know nothing, and yet claim to be wise on occasion? Apparently my hypocrisy knows no bounds. Or I'm full of it, you decide.
Anyway, Confucius has got nuthin on me.
One day I sat in a Japanese garden for over an hour and wrote down every thought of personal truth I could imagine. So as far as I know these are mine, although I'm sure it's possible that maybe a few of them have been said in other ways by people more significant than I.
and now Eddie the Wise speaks a dozen nuggets of truth:
-We judge ourselves on what we are capable of doing, while other people judge us on what we've done.
-Quiet people are always talking.
-What a fool believes is never foolish to them.
-I never miss the things I don't know.
-Knowledge makes things obvious.
-A genius is one who uses their madness constructively. A madman is one who uses their genius destructively.
-The life of the party is often the loss of concern over one's life.
-Why think twice when you can think twice as much.
-I can only return to the places I know.
-The difficult is always easy to stop.(and vice versa)
-A smile is never boring.
-Smile when the world smiles, and cry when the world cries, but don't let the world make you cry for not smiling.
