Have you guys and gals heard about this Danish cartoon which has pissed off so many people? Yeah that's right I said cartoon. I realize that religion is a sensitive issue and I also realize that there is a plethora of ignorance in the world, but it really seems that there are a large number of people on this planet with their fingers on the trigger. That is, people who don't need much incentive to lose their calm... people who are quick to find violence and rage and use them against innocent people to demonstrate their power and prove their point.
Call me pessimistic, but I feel this freaking world is full of hatred and self-righteous zealots who will bring the end of the world with them... just wait. People are completely ignorant to the concerns of others and then in turn, people completely overreact to the smallest insult. A Danish paper ran this cartoon, so now all Danes deserve to die! That is even more ignorant than someone blindly insulting you... wanting to kill them for it.
What ever happened to oldschool biblical standards like "an eye for an eye" or "turning the other cheek". They Islamics offended should put together a Danishly offensive cartoon and everything would be square, right? No, it appears an infinite number of infidels must perish to avenge something or other. Thousands of years of humanity and we still can't figure out an answer to the God question. More than that, we can't even agree to disagree. Meanwhile to my knowledge, God hasn't uttered a word in thousands of years, if it ever did at all. This is sick behavior. This may be an evil American suggestion but I think it's time to move on. Engross yourself in cell phones with infinite ring tones, one of the 56,000 channels on television, the endless amount of celeb-reality on cable, Sudoku, Krispy Kremes, one of Amheiser Busch's 196 beers or some Pirates of the Caribbean cereal and let it go.
I have absolutely no trust nor any hope for mankind the way things have progressed. I feel like we are missing something... that one thing or one person that can bring us all together. Anyone wanna volunteer? Unfortunately the only thing that may bring us together in the near future is war. If there is a God or Gods, now might be a good time to stop by for cookies and coffee... my treat!

"fear is your only god" and "is all the world jails and churches?".
im not god, but i'd be in for coffee and a cookie.
Anyway, my birthday was ok. I spent it watching movies with my cat. And then went to dinner at my dad's. Nothing exciting. I have no money to go out and do anything, but that's ok... the older I get, the less inclined I am to get rip roaring drunk. Ya know?
