I had a pretty fun day today, I was working on a helicopter carrier doing some routine maintenance with another co-worker. It was getting close to lunchtime so we started packing up our gear so we could split. We walked towards the exit where there should've been a ramp, and only saw ocean. I thought we were only moving to another pier so it wasn't really a big deal, so I asked one of the sailors how long we had been underway, and he says a little over an hour. Those big ass ships can move at a pretty brisk pace, and are very stable even in rough water, you couldn't even tell we were moving. I thought we were so fucked, and we'll either stay on the ship for a week or have a helicopter take us back, but fortunately there was a military tugboat nearby. It pulled up alongside the ship(which was still moving at full speed), and we climed down a rope ladder while an opening on the side of the ship was spraying some mystery liquid on us and the tugboat. The ride on the tugboat was so much fun, although its not really a tugboat but I can't really come up with a better name for it. So I guess I'll get chewed out at work tomorrow, but it was worth it.
