i think i have forgotten how important the little things were, are,... will be...
each day spent as a protector...

i have forgotten how to have fun, real fun...
without being constantly vigilant for fear of danger.

when you are a bringer of new life, you defend it with every breath.

i seem to have forgotten how to sit back and relax... how to engage...

i think the standard of living for all humanity would be greatly improved, if we simply moved our economic incentive from accumulation to appreciation...

seem to have found myself in a creative funk.
nothing is going right.
also, the economy (coupled with lack of constant self promotion) has left me in the poor house.
i need some sort of inspiration.

blech...

vengeance is mined
by the cruel and unkind
and is stolen away
at the end of the day
to be used as a weapon
to steal others possessions

to stand up again
we must see within
words win over swords
vengeance is mind

interestingly enough, the post civil war legislation that prevented a newly "freed" slave from being divested of personal property- was the same legislation that allowed corporations to begin to exist as entities, and not simply chartered community invested businesses... which just goes to show that politics and business should never mix.

even the best of intentions can be carved into a cultural catastrophe, when it...

thanks to everyone who has been patient with me during this tinnitus episode. i am learning coping skills.
life is getting better. i've even been able to renew my pointed comments towards corporate evil...

i'm not saying all corporations are evil... just the ones who don't temper their profit motives with moral aptitude.

... like when walmart says "we're saving people money so they can...

edited4tv:
yeah, walmart is on "super team evil".

i have not been inside one in over 6 years. i won't venture into the den of corporate darkness.
during easter, i noticed the endless seas of walmart bags in trash cans (not recycling bins).

it then occurred to me that the holiday itself had been barbarized by corporate america.
last i heard, easter was about celebrating rebirth- be it christian or pagan, that's the idea of it.
but somehow we twisted the meaning into the "stuff sweets into cheap ass plastic eggs, and hide hundreds of them in an attempt to give kids sugar comas".

we used to decorate our own eggs (real eggs, even) and a single chocolate bunny was more than enough loot.
now kids are eating 6 pounds of candy in a sitting, and people wonder why we (as a country) have the worst health on the planet. thanks to walmart, people think it's ok to buy stupid crap - after all, it's cheap!

P.S. I've been to Anniston - and if I ever make my way that fanciful pathway again - let's meet up at some rural bar; haha.

P.P.S. If your tinnitus is bothersome (of course it is) - I would recommend doing some work inbetween your toes, particularly on your left foot - within reflexology the trigger points for eyes, nose, and brain are often focused on the tips of the toes and inbetween the toes (on each side of each toes) so

toe|* *|toe|* *|toe|

where the stars are located though slightly lower inbetween each set of toes are two trigger points - massage each of 'em, lightly kneading or using the flat service of your thumbs - and press (you may even feel knots) - indicating toxin built-up, i.e. sprouting pain elsewhere - ears, etc.

i just finished watching the Michael Moore film - "Capitalism, a love story"...

please watch, and pass it along...

can't afford to rent it?
send me a message, and i'll figure out a way to get you a viewing.

i don't normally give blanket statements about the validity of any argument.
this film warrants that very warm and comfortable blanket.
please watch it, if only...

Yes, Yes and thank you.

Today I ventured off and bought wild rice (to soak overnight) along with some apple cider vinegar (which now I am using to soak cucumbers, carrots, garlic, collard greens with), only for a couple of hours and then layer up on fresh kale and maybe bananas!!

Mmmm (I am slowly and surely transitioning to raw). My body feels amazing when I do so successfully, and I truly feel . . . good.

true evil, yes! Our society seems to thrive $$$ from it.

i should learn not to ever turn on the television. inevitably there will be a food commercial within 10 to 15 seconds- and that food commercial will assuredly explain to me that the product it is suggesting to me is the answer to my every need.

now mcdonads has told me i need to create a personal relationship with their "new" sandwich (which is actually...

Thanks for confirming my suspicions about Firewire400 vs USB 2.0 in the photographer's group.

It's been years but that's what I remember when Firewire first came out.

They're the Calumet "ProSpec" 305x UDMA cards. I've got an internal USB2.0 card reader for them.
Guess everything is as optimized as it can be for these cards.

Have you found your reader to be faster then the USB cable transfer on your 5D mkii?
I've been reading conflicting info, although I guess it's easy enough to figure out... transfer the images with the card reader. Then transfer them again directly from the camera, eh?

Or I could ask what your experiences have been with your Mkii wink
