Arrived in Lisbon today - for the worlds general information, the lisbon airport is one of the slowest places in the world. It took 20 minutes for the luggage to start coming out on the conveyors, and i know the bus ride from the tarmack to the terminal was only 5 minutes. Following the exasperation of waiting for luggage with obnoxious children running around hooting, i encountered a panel of tv crews outside in the terminal waiting to interview portuguese tourists returning home from mexico to find out how bad the hurricane really was. talk about a slow news day.
Lisbon is a gorgeous city - everyone should know this, and everyone should visit. fantastic food - had dinner with friends at an argentinian restaurant. the waitress was a gorgeous argentine woman, which was an added bonus to a cdelivious meal. Also, Lisbon has some fantastic music stores - found a New York Dolls CD i wanted and a Patti Smith cd, both of which were cheaper than NYC prices. score one for the EU apparently.
not much else to report. tomorrow i start roaming the country with a short, 2 day road trip, to be followed by a 7 day trip starting on saturday. life is good with places to see.
