//Sets of Memories//
As I lay in your arms
in my bed
on the floor
I thought that I could love you.
Then we went out
and I pretended
we were just friends.
But now you tell me
of even that I was wrong
we were singular
nothing
an empty word on an empty page
a note, hanging in silence.
//Meant to tell you Earlier//
Part of me just laughed
at the severity of your alarm
and your overbearing apologetics.
And in the moment I could not fathom
what dark meaning your worry invoked.
But as I walked the realization cemented
and I crumbled.
