Oi
8:08 Pm here on the west coast , and i jsut finished watching the exorcist , 4th time through it. Still such an amazing movie. The version I have is the "version you've never seen before."
There wasnt too much special about it , but its still nice to have that little bit extra. I remember letting a friend of mine borrow it. He had already seen the film , but not with the extra footage. Needless to say the added scene of Reagen when shes possessed did him in. Still so hard to make a decent horror movie , not that it would ever compare to the exorcist anyway.
It did get me thinking though , wouldnt it be nice to have a new horror movie , especially another exorcist one. No , No , Nonot an Exorcistmovie , but a new movie , about exorcisms , a little more explanation into them , some more thought and detail. The original was well researched , but only so much was allowed and able to be created at that time.
When I had finished watching Session 9 which by all accounts isnt an amazing movie, but it is still rather good for a real horror flik. Now you might say that it isnt that scary but it wasnt the movie that made it creepy. After i had finished watching this film , I used the magic power of the DVD to access the bonus features. It was the explanations and research and interviews with the cast that really brought light to the film and Showed you what was really creepy.
Scaring people is easy , but its quick , and it gets old. Now knowledge , that can scare a person , and get them to keep scaring themselves. They say woman are smarter , that think differentlly then men , maybe thats why they get so scared during horror movies. Cause they can see the whole picture. Maybe im just talking out my ass though.
Dont go sending hate mail now "im a chick that doesnt get scared" good for you. My apologies for using a feminin sterotype.
If you've come this far , thx for reading , and good for you. Leave a comment and ill get back to you.

Oh, and the demon's name is Smooshy. And every time he comes on the screen you yell (in a very non-spooky voice) SmooooooooooshytheDemon. All one word.
