Traveling - today my whole day was spent traveling...
I woke up at 5:30 am to catch a 7am flight to Minneapolis - connecting through to Orange County, CA.
I get to the airport - check in... everything gets messed up, lines out the front door- security is backlogged and even worse - my flight to Minneapolis no longer exists.
So - I have no choise but to rebook for a later time (9am) but - get this... there are no more connecting flights to Orange Co. ---- I have ot fly to LAX instead (they are 40 miles apart).
Well - I HAVE to get out there today... so I take the change - and call the rent a car place and reschedule to pick up a car at LAX and drop off for my return out of Orange CO on a later day.
Anyhow - 3 hours later (9am) I am on the plane to Minneapolis... and when we land - we have to wait 30 min for a spot to park. This is very lame - because the whole flight from Madison to Minneapolis is only 35 min!!! It takes longer to park the damn plane than to fly it!
I get in - hurry to my gate on the other side of the airport, and get there just as the plane is boarding to LAX.
Not a bad flight to LAX... but then - - I HAVE TO WAIT IN LINE FOR AN HOUR TO GET MY RENT A CAR! AN HOUR IN A RENT A CAR LINE!!!
Then since i am now in LA instead of Orange County - I have to drive an hour to get to where I need...
Total travel time today - 14 hours...
The next time I fucking spend 14 hours traveling I better end up in europe.
