My weekend was a nice amalgamation of every which type of emotion and state of activity. Sometimes you feel like you lived through more in a few days than you have your whole previous week or month.
Friday no Sara available. She has to play rock-star in Brewtown and I have to play rock-star in Madtown. Schedules dont sync, no time for physical contact life is sad I miss the girl
Friday Night I get to Dj solo thanks to my partner being exhausted! Excellent all you 80s freaks be prepared for 4.5 hours of NewWave and Early 80s breaks and beats.
Crowd loves it, people go nutz packed house all night and I get paid double.
Saturday morning Wake up early picking up the girl in Milwaukee (hour away), betting she stayed up all night rock-starring it. I sleeping on 5 hours, drive the distance, knock on the door where she is staying no answer. Happy face turned sad good times turned sour as I wait knocking, yelling, calling for 35 minutes to no avail damnit all.
Just about to give up and count my losses and get some food when I try once more I get an answer Michael opens the door I get upstairs and see a sleeping Sara. All feelings shift to happiness, I sit and watch the girl sleep for 5 minutes before waking her. The light makes it seem dreamlike and she smiles
Flash forward pick up a car I keep in good condition on a yearly basis 87 TransAm GTA 350 a part of my soul the beast is. Hours of sweat put into keeping it pristine.
This year to keep her looking new:
- Front End Alignment
- Headliner (Damn you GM for using foam backing)
- Brake adjustment
- Wiper motor
- Antennae motor
- Brakes adjusted
- Fog light replaced
- Rear spoiler needs work (Damn you GM for using a foam core!)
I am thinking $650 total expenses small price to pay for keeping something looking like it was the day it was driven off the lot by my father in 1987. Classic plates coming for you soon my girl soon just wait.
On the highway accelerating fast look over Sara smiling, she looks good car is running good bliss life is good
Flash Forward Sunday
Go to my house brother threw a party Saturday, someone touched my laptop in my room. It was turned on. Not good not happy. 17 inch shiny powerbook is mine, not the worlds it is my command center for work and is not for others to play with.
I find out a few more things bad things anger level rises Sara calmly looks at me smiles. We resort to washing the car I chide her on her drying technique all is well.
Flash forward Sunday night
After movies and wine I go home to grab some items I forgot. Brother is there he insists on not doing the things others have clued me in on I can tell hes lying. He is older than me by 2 years but is the younger as far as I am concerned damn frat boys 27 years old and he still is a kid. Arg - both of us own the house we live in... so I am stuck with him at times.
I get what I need go back to Saras try to forget the crappiness of it all, how I get taken advantage of at times I cant my nights shot I need to sleep.
Sometimes family members suck.

Mike Watt's going on tour this fall, I really hope he hits Madison. He probably will since he went there during his spring tour...
