Phew! I just flew back from NY and boy my arms are tired. So here is the trip recap in a nutshell...no this is me in a nutshell "help help i'm stuck in this nutshell" ok enough lameness here it goes:
So I took the redeye from LA to Philly with a layover in Chicago. Of course I can't sleep in planes, especially packed ones so I arrived in Philly about 9:30am met my UK friends at the hotel took a quick shower and we made the quick tourist rounds of the liberty bell and independence hall and headed to the tavern
It was 1pm. After 27 drinks between the 3 of us we headed off to the game. With no sleep for 30 hours I was a little tired but nothing a little Manchester United football couldnt fix. About 54,000 fans showed up to watch the red devils youth team play Celtic's first team. Very uneventful game. Went back drank some more went to bed at 2 because we had to make a 10am train to NY. Got to NY before 12 and checked in at a mostly shady Howard Johnson. Other than being clean it was HORRIBLE. We spent some time in Macy's because the humidity was so bad and then made our way to Nevada Smiths a great red devils bar in the lower east side. Started drinking and didnt stop until 3:30am. Woke up at 8 to make it down to the buses at Nevada Smith that carted us without the promised beer or Air Conditioning to Giants Stadium to Watch United vs. AC Milan. Again mostly youth team with enough starters to appease the american fans. Sang chanted and yelled for 2 hours, got extremely sun burned and then hopped back on the no Air-Con bus for the trip back to NY. Did more shopping and more drinking.
Saw my friends group "Rockapella" the best a cappella group in the world at BB Kings. Then drank some more. Woke up saw Farenheiht 9/11 because it was so muggy. Movie made me mad so we drank some more. Back to Bristol went my mates and I went and saw The Village with the friend from Rockapella. I loved the movie and I dont care what anyone else says. The acting and cinematography alone makes the movie worth watching.
No drinking
that night. Took the train back to Philly the next day and took to delayed flights back to LA and got in at 2 this morning. Phew.
Now the good part. I am planning a trip to the UK in December. London, Manchester, Scotland and Amersterdam. And three Manchester United games 2 home and one away. Yippee.
Me=Super happy.
