my ten year high school reunion is coming up next month. i've been waiting for this for...well...ten years! my boss' wedding just so happens to be on the very same day, go figure. seeing as my boss is the one that freaked out and removed himself as co-signer for my harley, then selling it when i couldn't find another co-signer, i really feel no guilt in going to the reunion and missing the wedding completely.
anyway, i've been thinking about this journey i will be taking back to misery (missouri). i'm thinking that it may not be too enjoyable. see, normally i would take i-80 through wyoming and nebraska, then bump on down to i-70 and straight shot to warrensburg pretty much. however, the past 6 times i have driven through wyoming i have had the shittiest things happen, i.e. getting blown off the side of the interstate in a "blowing snow" wind storm 4 times; rear ending a suburu wagon (that was rubber necking a semi in the ditch and had been there for a number of hours and was just waiting to be towed- nothing special, nothing even slightly interesting) and sending it spinning between two moving semi's thereby bending my front bumper into my wheel well preventing me from turning properly; sitting in the back of a highway patrolman's car when the back window shattered, sending glass showering over me, then being yelled at by the patrolman because he thought i broke his window when it was actually a rock kicked up by a passing semi; not to mention speeding tickets galore.
i need to find a new route. my problem i am seeing is that oregon has i-5 running north and south and it seems like i'd be going way out of my way by going north or south, blegh, whatever, i'll stop whining, i'll get there if i have to drive through southern california, by god!!!!

I just saw my friend from highschool. We went to a small private highschool together and we were the only two graduates. While i was talking to her i realized it was our 5 year reunion, and everyone showed up!
