Wow, just got home from a 3-day excursion. Went to Warped Tour on Friday and then back to Athens for 2 daysish.
Warped Tour was awesome. The crowd keeps getting younger and/or lamer, but it's still the best tour I know of. I saw the fucking Buzzcocks, and there is nothing cooler than that. I even caught a setlist and got Pete Shelley and Steve Diggle(and their current drummer) to sign it. They were I believe, the most polite and sincerely caring band I have ever met. I really hope I can catch them in a full concert sometime. I also want to check out some of the Steve Diggle solo stuff.
NoFX put on one hell of a show. Fat Mike started by bitching about Underoath (Why do they exist? seriously!) dedicating their whole set to Jesus Christ. Then NoFX playd "The Seperation of Church and Skate" which fit the scenario perfectly. I also got a setlist from them, but if you've ever tried to meet any of the members of NoFX, you know it's practically impossible.
Anti-Flag, Valient Thorr, and Less Than Jake also put on amazing shows.
Joan Jett was actually very boring....a huuuuuge let down. I don't know what she could have done differently, but I was just entirely unimpressed and dissapointed.
Ugh, never drink 3 martinis in less than 90 minutes...

Yeah, I don't know what happened with Joan Jett...I think she was just trying way too hard to appeal to the little kids and it came out lame. She persistently kept talking about how "wet" and "dirty" she was, which I just couldn't find appealing since it seemed so forced. She also tried to pepper "I don't give a damn about my reputation" with a "fuck" causing the audience to gasp and me to feel she was still trying too hard. Her band has no personality at all either. Big let down...
