my friend wanted a tattooing apprenticeship but the shop he asked wouldn't take one on until they had a piercer. so he went away, learned how to pierce, then returned and they let him stay. there are so many places that won't even give someone a chance.

I know, I'm super excited to learn to pierce! I'm a little nervous, too 
. Today was my second day there as a real apprentice, and I got to change some difficult jewelry for a girl. It was a marilyn piercing, and she couldn't unscrew the piece she had in already. Latex gloves took care of that easily 
! Then I got to help her put the new piece in, which was difficult because she had really full lips, and the post on the new piece was way too short, so I had to get a post that actually fit her. It was weird having my fingers in a strange girl's mouth, though! But I was proud of myself .

I got the apprenticeship! I am so happy and excited... I'm fucking elated. I love the shop so much, and the guys there seem so cool. I get to draw all the time, and hang out with guys! It's exactly what I want to do.
