Yesterday at work totally sucked. I think my day began badly when my husband didn't have any Valentine's Day present for me, or any plans either. At work, Drew seemed really stressed out. His wife was there, but she was in a really good mood and was awesome. I vacuumed and accidentally caught Dave's tattoo cord in the machine, which sucked, even though there was no visible damage. They had me go get food from this really good mexican place, and on the way home my takeout box came open and spilled some beans on the other boxes of food inside the takeout bag. Drew seemed very displeased! I was like, "Here, look, only my box came open a little, I can clean off the outside of the boxes." but whatever. He was still very annoyed. Then his first appointment came in, which was the girl for whom I drew the two owls... well, it turned out that she wanted her own weird little owl sketch tattooed on her, which really seemed to annoy him as well. I was like, "Well, her drawing is okay, i guess,so whatever..." and he was all mildly outraged.
I got scolded for various things throughout the day and just generally did a very poor job of being an apprentice! I really felt bad, like I totally let Drew down. It sucked. I hate that feeling. I try super hard, but sometimes people make mistakes, right? I mean, it's not even like I made any *big* mistakes, just a bunch of little stuff that i wasn't doing quite right.
Anyway, he left to be with his family for V-day around 4:30, and things actually got much better from there. I think the remaining two guys felt bad for me because they knew my day was sucking, so they were extra nice to me. Chris wasn't doing anything, and I wanted to go have a drink because my day was so bad and because if I went home I would just be resentful and pissed at ethan for not planning anything, so I asked Chris if he wanted to go for drinks. So we did, which was fun. And it was really close to my house, so I didn't have to worry too much about driving home even though I'm a total lightweight now.
So the day ended all right, even though the first half was probably the worst day I've had there so far.

At least you now have a standard for worst day ever at work. Will only get better.
