Okay, I'm getting a grip here... although my hopes have kind of been dashed with the whole Bluebird Tattoo apprenticeship thing, I still think if I work really hard, I might have a tiny chance of beating out the guy who they've got on a trial basis. I've been working like crazy on some Mexican Day of the Dead (el dia de los muertos?) tattoo flash drawings. I figure I can make some gorgeous, beautifully colored drawings and then take pictures and email them to the shop owner. Then... if all goes as planned... the drawings will *magically* make all the guys there see what an awesome apprentice and tattoo artist I would make. Yes, *magically*. Also, merely by looking at my drawings, they will be able to tell what a cool girl I am, and how I would be just like one of the guys at the shop and totally fit in. And how much they would really love hanging out with me every day.

Okay, and if that fails, I'm going to see if the owner knows any other artists to whom he would consider recommending me. Because now I have the tattoo artist fever again, damn it. Argh! Tattoo shop owners/ artists and their fickle ways! However, I know it's just because he is tender-hearted, and a nice guy, and doesn't want to let the other guy down...
