My parents are visiting for a long weekend... which makes getting any computer time impossible, since all my dad does all day is sit and watch tomohawks and early american butter molds on Ebay. I'm super frustrated! Finally, at the very end of today (nowish), I'm like, "Dad, can I please check my email and do some computer stuff?" and he's like, "? "Now? You want to check it now??" And I'm like, "uhhh... yes..." and he's like, "Fine, you can check it in 10 minutes." and so finally, an hour later, he's like, "Okay, you can use the computer now."
To top things off, the owner of the tattoo shop that I have a chance of apprenticing for emailed me a couple days ago and was like, "Do you want to come over to the shop Monday or Tuesday and draw and hang out and stuff?" and I was like, hell yeah! Then inexplicably two days later he emails, basically revoking the invitation because he felt guilty about the guy they're already trying out on a trial basis. Well, why the fuck did the owner even approach me about being an apprentice in the first place??? Then he was SOOOO encouraging (and not in a sleazy way, either... in a 'i think you're cool and i really like your artwork' kind of way). And then all the sudden, it's like he gave up on me for no reason! I was really looking forward to hanging out with them Monday and getting to know the guys better. I guess they're all going to "vote" on the people who want the job, but I'm guessing the guy who's already there on trial pretty much has it in the bag. Which is weird, because he was already working on a trial basis there when the owner asked if I was interested... I feel like i have absolutely no chance now because I barely know the other artists at the shop. They've seen my portfolios, but that's about it.
What suckiness. I cried for hours last night. Yeah, I'm a girl.

Awesome about yr boy's band! We'll go see them, for real! We never get to go out, so I'm excited. That will be a good excuse to get a babysitter for Henry and actually spend time with my husband.
Alissa Brunelli said she wants to do a shoot with me, but I haven't been able to schedule it yet! I'm writing to the person she's has in charge of all that, trying to get it worked out. Alissa and I have even talked about what the theme of the shoot will be and everything, so I'm super excited . It'll be super fun even though I know most girls' sets don't get picked the first few times they try.
Elea: Yeah, you're my *very* favorite pink girl (though it might actually be a tie with Tie if they hadn't stupidly rejected her set ). Yeah, I have a plan for the tattoo shop thing. I know I would be really good at it, it's just a matter of getting someone to take you on in the tattoo industry, you know? Very frustrating, though! Thanks for your concern, gorgeous girl!
