today i alomst lost contact with the world wide web once again...
i woke up this morning to a man standing over my bed in my dark bedroom attempting to steal my computer.
he claimed he was the repair man as he bolted from my apartment.
i yelled, "hey, i dont need a repair man!"
then i realized that the powerbook clutched under his arm was in fact my powerbook and started running after him.
from that point forward the only words out of my mouth were profanities, with apartment and computer thrown in a couple of times.
he gently put down my computer in the hall way of my building while saying sorry repeatedly, and ran away.
i immediatly called the cops, who to my suprise, were here in 4 minutes or so.
i gave them a very detailed description.
after about 15 minutes of questioning they got a call on the radio and asked me to come with them down the street.
they had caught someone who fit my description, and needed me to id him.
we rode down the 6 blocks or so with the sirens on until reaching 4 or so other cop cars with a man pulled over on the sidewalk.
it was him.
he had other girls things, like checkbooks and ids, in his black backpack and another computer.
now he is in jail.
i may have to testify though.
the feeling of waking up to a man in your room is horrible...
he could have done anything.
my friend always gives me a tough time for being so detail oriented, but today it payed off.
all in a days work!

i am pretty well conditioned male and believe it is a man's job to suck it up and deny feelings and let them build up until they eventually reveal themselves by doing something useful like hit someone. or not.
how are you?
