yesterday i posted this on myspace:
Yesterday the State Senate approved bill 714. This bill will eliminate abortion in the state of Oklahoma. The only abortions that will be permitted will be those that are considered medical emergencies ( which the state officials will constitute). It will now go to Brad Henry for approval. I'm asking everyone who reads this to please repost it and spread the word. Even if you don't live in this state. I have Brad Henry's office number as well as address. Please call, and/or write to, them and harass them about this issue. Please do your part in this, it will affect a lot of people.
Governor Henry

Please pass on this information. Thanks.
and this was the response i got :
chelsea...i'm sorry but if you don't want to have children then use protection (ie birth control, condoms) or just don't have sex. the world is full of choices and each and every one of us should take personal responsibility for those choices. i just don't think that because two people make a mistake that an innocent child should be stripped of it's chance to live. that's just me.
just felt like sharing... any thoughts?
i know its a controversial topic, but im still interested to hear what people think...
no drama though please.

cheyenne:
I don't believe it will last long. that violates federal law. States cannot violate federal law. I bet that one will end up in the supreme court or shitcanned in no time. But, you can get people in your state to write their congressmen. (it works, i promise...interned with one in cali for a semester.) Peoples' opinions from other states won't really do much good since it is a state law. but I agree...it sucks.
