Dammit Man...Firefox froze and killed what was shaping up to be a pretty decent blog
Oh well, I guess I try to recreate is
Life is good. Back from my trip to Santa Cruz. I'm definately in love with Santa Cruz. Beautiful place, AMAZING food, majority of like-mind people. The Steel Pulse/Eek-A-Mouse/Culture show rocked my socks. Elijah loved it, too. *Although, I think he may have gotten a contact high with all the smoke in the air* The boardwalk was fun and the annual clam chowder cook-off was great, but crowded. The Redwoods were magical *as always* My favorite pic from our hike is at the bottom
I had my first poi spinning class, tonight.
I can't wait until I get to spin with fire. My friend Tamara is teaching the class and had a one on one session with me tonight. She says I'm a natural and was impressed with how quickly I picked it up
I can't wait for next weeks class.
Spring is my favorite time of the year *granted, I really love summer and fall, too* Every year, I get super productive and creative around my birthday *first sign of the cycle = a natural love of spring - yah Aries!* I try to learn a new skill/craft every year. This year it's fire spinning and pottery.
spring is also a time of cleansing/fasting/meditation for me. I think of it as MY New Years. Cleansing isn't something that typically excites me, but it is a good time for reflection, rebirth and renewal. And besides, I feel great after I clean my body of the residues of the past year.
Any of you get the "fever" when spring comes around?
Love and Blessings~
