Like someone said on the thread, if this is a professional editor, a blanket statement, "Yer grmr sux!" isn't worth the pen you write his/her checks with. But, yeah, if it's a friend, find a new friend... to edit your stuff.
Also, if you're only getting feedback on your grammar and not the content of your work, then you still need a new editor. Grammar is important, sure, to an extent, but clarity of thought/ideas, originality, cleverness, emotional impact, truth... those are all vastly more important than a misplaced comma or ending a sentence with an preposition.
