Whew,
what a week.
My mac laptop is dead. Completely utterley dead. I sent it in for repairs, and the company said it wasn't worth saving - dead logic board. I asked them to save my beloved data- my first draft of my novel is on there!!
So, anyone that has a second hand mac laptop they want to get rid of, you know who to talk to.
My awful filler office job tried to have me fired. But I got an anonymous tip-off and quit before they could.
I was arguing back with the manager who sits at my bank of desks. You get fired for talking to any boss above your own. Lol.. and I did more than just talk. I firmly just didn't let myself be pushed about, but wasn't rude about it.
Um.. oh, I have a sore left breast. Yup. I had to go to the doctors, and the one that could see me was a hot young blonde woman. Who knew?? I had to lay topless and be prodded and examined. Terrible, huh?
Also, I sent off my script synopsis and all it's trimmings to my favourite Irish director. His studio are going to be making it, but we're trying to get funding for it to be a feature, rather than just a short. Wish us luck!! We have some other irish interest and an American funder interested. Whooop!
The director's trying to get Alan Rickman for one of the parts. Hell yeah. I'd cream myself and die right then and there.
I applied to Pixar.
I can't believe I applied to Pixar. Doing my portfolio up now. Proud I applied - bit scary.
Grr... Film making politics. I'm only fresh in the industry, and I have a colourful history already. Let's get this straight - contacts? Right, if I don't like you, I ain't ever gonna pretend to get a film job, right? If I consider you a friend, you're damn well a friend and you shall be treated as such. If you happen to be a contact too, well, you're my friend THEN you're my contact. Got that?
Dunno if it's just because I'm film-green. But it's difficult getting that all sorted out!!
Booking my flight to LA really soon. This week hopefully. Woot.
