1.) Writing a blog on here about the Harry Potter premiere
2.) I cut my hair off and it was short again and I HATED it.
3.) That I talked to my ex and he basically said he was gay and said that girls just make him laugh now and that theres something this one guy does for him in bed thats better than anything I ever did.
Sooo I figured since I had a dream about writing on here, I might as well. I think its pretty weird that I would dream that but when I logged in today I was wondering where my blog went because I had thought I already wrote one. And then I had to come to my senses and realize that my hair is still long (thank God!) and that theres no way my ex would think someone was better than me. haha. I think I just had that last dream because he texted me last night for the first time in a week or so and I was expecting to not hear from him for a really long time because the last time we saw each other, we got into a big drunken fight and I told him I was so angry I wanted to slap him and he said do it, so I did, but then he freaked out and said he hated me and didn't love me and blah blah blah. But I mean, moral of the story? Don't tell a drunk, angry, hurt girl to slap you when you 100% deserve it. Am I right? haha. But it was a pretty gnarly fight so, like I said, I didn't want to hear from him and I didn't expect to.
Anyway, Harry Potter. Well I went over my friend's house beforehand and we got all our goodies together (HP glasses, capes, wands, swords, the usual) and then we made shirts that said various things pertaining to Harry Potter. I put "Slug Club" on the front of mine in Ravenclaw colors and on the back I listed "Wizard Swears" which are from this hilarious video by potterpuppetpals.com. If you are a Harry Potter fan and you've never been to this site, you are missing out, its GREAT. http://potterpuppetpals Just click on that and go to "Wizard Swears" which is my favorite, but the others are pretty funny as well.
So I have my homemade shirt on, plus the sword of Godric Gryffindor, plus an invisibility cloak, and also a wand. Then I brought my Harry Potter action figure and my HP blanket. Oh and I'm wearing Harry's glasses with a lightning bolt drawn on my forehead, no big deal. We got there at 8 pm, and obviously the movie started at 12, so we had a while to wait. We decided to drink. People started to trickle in every hour and by 11 there were so many people there it was ridiculous. There were some people dressed up as characters and this one guy dressed up as Voldemort and had his makeup professionally done and he looked exactly like the movie Voldemort, which is crazy. He even had a Dark Mark and a Deatheater was following him around, it was intense. Then Channel 4 news showed up and everyone went crazy, including myself, and me and my friends ended up getting on the news! I wish I could've seen us, but my friend's mom said she did, so thats cool.
At this point, its movie time. Everyone's adrenaline was just racing and we were all ready to finally watch this installment. I was definitely looking forward to it, and it was a good movie. It was funny and some parts were pretty intense, but I don't know if I'll ever just be able to like the movie for a movie because I HATE that they change important things from the books. I can't stress how much better the books are. I like the movies, and I'm excited for the next ones because thats all i have now that I can't wait for the books to come out since thats over with, but I LOVE the books. I have an absurd attachment to my books and I've read them all over 8 or 10 times, some of them even more. But like I said, it was still a good movie and I like to see the characters. Except Dumbledore. The first Dumbledore in the first two movies = great, perfect. This new one? SHIT. I HATE HATE HATE him. He does NOT act like Dumbledore would, at ALL. Sorry, its just one of my biggest peeves.
But I was tired as balls after the movie so I went home and crashed.
Yesterday I went and saw Bruno. Lets just say it had so many wretched parts I don't even know where to begin. It was funny, but it was so over-the-top and most of its funniness was pure shock value. I liked Borat a lot, but this was just too much. I mean, like I said, it was funny and entertaining but I don't think you'd get me to watch it again, whereas I watched Borat multiple times and thought it was still funny.
There are so many more movies I'm looking forward to though, and I can't wait till they come out! (Where the Wild Things Are, Funny People, New Moon, Alice and Wonderland, and about 10 more) Its just too bad that movies cost so much to go to.
On the video game front, so far this summer I've beat Final Fantasy 7 and 9, and I'm about to continue playing 8 because I was bored at first but I'm gonna give it another go. And then I'll have to play 10 and 12 in preparation for 13!! I know I don't have to beat them in order or at all to play the next one thats coming out 2010 but I just feel more accomplished or something if I do. And I want that Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles, Echoes of Time for my DS since I beat Ring of Fate, but I have no monies. boo.
I haven't been reading books lately, but I want to. I just haven't found one thats caught my interest. Once I can borrow Frolic's His Dark Materials trilogy, I'll read those and she also suggested some new vampire books that I'll have to start reading once I'm back at school and can go to Barnes and Noble, since I don't have the funds to buy books left and right (which I REALLY wish I could). And theres also this book by Anne Rice that she wrote under a different pen name called "The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty" and its like a dark, sexual book about Sleeping Beauty being awoken not with a kiss but with someone having sex with her and it looks pretty good. So I need to start reading!
Well this post has been absurdly long, but maybe someone will read it all, haha.
