So, needless I had a great Vacation. The South Island is fucking beautiful and not even my constantly complaining roomate could stop me from having a good time. I really don't think he understood the concept of camping and the fact that you can't control the weather, which means we only ended up camping half the time. Queenstown is really great, if anyone is planning on visiting the South Island of New Zealand during the summer, Queenstown is the place to go. There are a million things to do there, plus it is kinda a hub to many of the other touristy spots.
To name a few things done on the trip, we took a helicopter ride over 2 glaciers, went white water rafting in class 4 rapids, went jet boating, went black water rafting (your in a inner tube in a cave with glow worms all around), and we did some boat rides and hikes etc. ......It was fun, I highly recomend it to anyone who has a couple of weeks free. We spent New Years which was all in all a great night me and my roomate were dancing on the bar with half a dozen beautiful women as the clock struck 12!
Right now I'm still adjusting back into the work mode from all the time off, but I think I'm back on track. I've also gone to 3 concerts in the last week which is nice because I had been missing live music since I got here, they may not be huge concert but they were all fun and thats all that matters. In fact it might be better that they weren't huge concerts. I'm kinda disapointed because I'm not gonna go to the Big Day Out this weekend, but really its only my fault I just didn't plan ahead and now it would not be worth how much I sould spend to go, especially since I've seen almost all of the bands there that I want to see.......maybe next year (if I'm still here)
I've started swimming again because its been years since I seriously swam and now I'm out of shape so I'm trying to correct that, however I've taken 2 days off and now my back is killing me hopefully they are not related.
Well thats all for now, keep rocking!
