So, yeah, I feel like I've been out of touch with the world......moving to New Zealand and no longer having TV I guess can do that. It just seems kinda odd that I have no idea what is going on in the News unless someone goes out of their way to let me know whats happening. I'm not saying I'm huge on the news, but at least on the states I had the Daily Show to catch me up on whats going on. Maybe I should start downloading it through iTunes.
Besides all that I'm still adjusting to things down here (although I probably will claim I'm adjusting till the day I leave, thats just the way I work). The house I'm living in is amazing, I wish it was more affordable for people to come and visit, because we have so much extra space and it would just be cool to have some more friends around.
So I have off for the next 2 weeks, which is cool, (except for the fact that I'm not getting paid for that time unlike when I was at my last job) most of those 2 weeks are going to be spent traveling around the South Island and just taking in this country I'm now living in. It should be fun its just gonna be me and my 1 roommate and we are going to do a combination of camping and staying at places. We are gonna hit up Queenstown for New Years since we hear thats the place to be for New Years. I'm sure many a crazy thing will happen over the next 10 days or so, so it should be fun.
I'll do a big update sometime after I get back with pictures and things, since I still haven't even put up pictures that I've already taken.
I like to procrastinate like that.......which reminds me I need to get to bed so I can leave to catch a boat by 6:15am tomorrow morning
sometimes I wonder if anyone even reads this, but I guess it doesn't matter really.....does it?

have you found cuba st yet? sounds like the kind of place you might like for shopping and stuff - real groovy up the top of cuba st and slow boat records on cuba are all good for music, the illicit store on cuba (the bit between ghuznee and vivian sts) has some cool clothes/shoes etc you might like, and if you're into slightly rockabilly stuff calico jacks and eyeball kicks (right next to each other) on ghuznee st (cross cuba st at the lights where ghuznee/cuba intersect from the side which has starmart on it and walk left you will find it) have some cool stuff.
if you want to find out what gigs are on, pick up a copy of the package which is available at lots of cafes and shops around the place or go to www.thepackage.co.nz tho it is usually out of date on the site, it will tell you what is on this week. Bars that have gigs you may like would be indigo, the valve and maybe bar bodega, these are all on cuba st, vivian or ghuznee sts.
I don't think you will like courtnay place bars in general though there may be one or two you may like such as kitty o'sheas if you are into irish bars. Good Luck bar and mighty mighty in cuba mall are alright bars for meeting people.
hmm there is a gig on at valve this weekend that could be your thing check out the poster here sort of metal/punk/rock type bands playing.
sorry this comment feels like a novel, also if i've tol you nything you already know about sorry disregard it. hope thats some help
