i started takeing lessons again today. pawn centers are tricky fuckers. its funny how on the highest levels one little pawn is what causes people to resign. open centers use piece play, dont move around the pawns so much, otherwise you might be shooting yoruself in the foot. closed you need to go around the closed center, or "go around the mountain" and choose a side to flank on. mobil centers are a pawn majority on one side or the other and you want to use it to your advantage by advanceing it and pushing your enemies pieces out of the centre where they are most powerfull. fixed centre you want to grab the outpost for your piece and eliminate your oponents outpost.
and i should be able to keep this in mind when im dealing with the pawn centre.

I know how the pieces move, and have played a couple times (alway the loser), but that is is.
Good luck with your lessons!
