Today was the day of little disasters. Every machine at work was breaking down, just when we needed them most. Even so I got through it unscathed. I've decided that come April or my next review, (whichever comes first), I'm going to ask for $15/hour. Until then I've got to prove I'm worth it. So, I'm upselling like crazy and I'm about to get my notary certification. I'm doing what it takes to prove I'm worth more than the dinky 5% FedEx Kinko's typically offers it's employees. My manager'll probably say that its not entirely up to him, but I'm going to push him to fight on my behalf. I can't say that I won't take less, but I'm not going to take less without angling for more.
Also, I think I'll look into career options FatAss Kankels has to offer. I know I don't want to work in a retail center in ten years, but there are other options. Marketing and Research, Administrative, Field Ops, Training, all sort of stuff. I might find something interesting that pays better than my current job.
Anyhizzle, I'm at home now watching I Love the '90's (Remix). James' out at 77 getting his hair cut bywakeangel.
I'm about to move into a nice apartment, I've got about a year's wage in my savings account, and I've got goals at work--I'm feeling optimistic!
Q: What do I want?
A: To make more money.
Q: What was my happiest moment today?
A: finding out that letter from the insurance company was telling me they're sending me $2,000, instead of me owing them the money.
Mantra for the day day:
Go at your own pace.
