What to talk about...?
Ooh, guess who got some rare colette dunnies? ME! I was even first in line.
James and I got together with the scoobies and saw 300. Awesome; very...
I especially liked the blood splatters. I absolutely need to buy the graphic novel. Frank Miller kinda rules.
I bought James his birfday present. I know he'll like it. I'm sure he'll be sharing it with everyone he knows. He's been doing that with the valentines prezy I got him: a signed art book of Range Murata. He got me S&M Smorkin Labbits. My first labbits; cool.
Oh yeah: I held a bunny... And it DIDN'T bite! I was just as courteous to it.
James has been playing Tomb Raider a lot while I've been reading Widdershins. I forgot how much I love Charles de Lint. His recurring character Jilly Coppercorn was a huge influence on me as a kid. I wanted to be just like her since reading her first story in Dreams Under Foot when I was 11. Widdershins inspired me to start drawing again; as did the dream I had about my mom.
In the dream my mom gave me an inspire egg. It was so pretty; covered in patterns of suns and rainbows. And when she cracked it open a warm light came from inside the shell. My mom told me that as pretty as the outside was, the inside was even better. But to get to the inspriation I'd have to make art.
It was a welcome break from the other dreams I had about her. They were just vile.
So it looks like things is getting better
