Uhhhhnnnn
I am so tired.
I've been making and selling sushi since about 10 this morning. After not sleeping because the guy in the flat above me must have OCD or something and likes to continually open and close his wardrobe doors between 2-3am.
Last night i told everyone I wasn't going out, so I could have an early night. But then the beautiful people in the flat opposite dragged me to East Slope bar, and then when I got back i remembered I'd promised Will (also from opposite flat) I'd watch Dodgeball with him, so...
Then I had to get up and wander down to the bizarre Christian meeting house place who were nicely letting us turn it into a Japanese food hall.
And since then I've been slicing and dicing avocado, cucumber, salmon, omelette, tuna, seaweed, rolling sushi, serving miso soup and sauteed meats, black and red rice risotto, etc etc etc... I'm tired and I smell of rice vinegar.
It was fun though, made some new friends, and caught up with old ones, felt daft for being completely non oriental yet part of the Japanese society here, misunderstood lots of conversations but was proud that I understood other bits, and generally knackered myself out.
Some guy called Michael runs the thing. He insisted on dressing up in a pink kimono. I think he dislikes me and I'm not sure why, he was making some jokes about me I didn't understand.
Now I'm going to go find Zaid from upstairs and watch Audition...ahhh, Japanese horror.
