An update! Yay!
Well, a lot of stuff happened since last update, alomst all of which is good.
New year's eve came and went, and it was a great success.
The evening started in a huge apartment downtown, where I had a truly terrific dinner with 10 old friends. It was great, though a little too bourgeois for my taste. But we sang old socialist songs all evening through, too, so that helped. Nothing saves a party like a proper, well-motivated singing of "Internationale"
(Do you know that song, by the way? Or is it a European/Russian thingie?)
After time had passed midnight (yays, hoorays and that whole deal) I went back to my own place alone. I had I really great half-hour walk through inner Copenhagen, where I got some time to think some things over. New year always makes me sentimental and reflective... More on that later.
Anyway, when I got home i had about 20 minutes to myself before people started pouring in
. We ended up having a half-spontanous party of about 30-40 people in my tiny apartment. Very cozy
All in all, a great way to start the new year...
Me and the girl have taken an interesting turn. I found out, that I wasn't in love with her after all (I'm getting better and better at deluding myself on that point), but I really like her and I think she's a kick-ass girl. So I told her, we talked and agreed on both being happy that we each found a great, who can also provide great sex, tenderness and a shoulder when needed.
This means that I'm still looking for a girlfriend. The acute need is temporarily gone, though, which is great.
All in all, I'm satisfied I guess. No wait, no guessing. I am satisfied. Period.
Anyway, how's everyone been? How's your year looking so far?
Have the last year been kind to you? Have you been kind to it?

i'm glad to hear that your new years went well... mine was.. well.. interesting. a whole lot of drama that i really didn't need, and i knew that i wouldn't need it, so i turned the ringer off on my cellphone, and left it downstairs at the party i was at. when the drama causing people finally got a hold of me at 7:30am, you can probably imagine how happy they were.. *shrugs* live and let live... i'm happy so that's all i'm concerned with at the moment.
for new years, i ended up going to see a couple of live comedians, then going to a party in a tae-kwon-do place... my buddy's sister is friends with her.. so we went to spend new years eve with them... and wow, it was a good time! i didn't get too drunk, which was nice! considering i'd spend many nights before new years being drunk.. and many nights since new years aswell. OH! and i tried the absinth that we have over here... apparently its not the same as the treasure you've got over there... silly canadian regulations.. haha.
i am infact going to england, it would be wonderful if you wanted to meet up and take on the city or something similar... i know its probably really forward of me to be like.. "i'm coming to visit you", but really, it would be a good time! like in Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, "i'd like to go somewhere i've never gone before, and i'd like to go with you"
i'm actually really proud of you for the way things worked out with that girl of yours... not meant to be sounding condescending at all, i just mean, that if for some reason a person realises that they're not in love with the person they're with.. it takes balls to actually accept that, and handle it properly. i wish there were more people out there who did that! instead of the "i'll stick around, because its something... or someone... even though i know they're not the person i want to be with."
as for the job switching... in general, i like my job, its just that as with any job, it only takes one bad situation, or one bad customer to make it seem like its not worthwhile.. and well thats usually what i go through at my work. take last week for example, i had this lady come on one of my tours... she was a complete religious nut. and i'm not even exaggerating.. everything i said was a lie according to her.. because "God built it exactly as it is".. *shakes her head* the kooks that come out around the holidays.. its crazy. haha.
so yes, as you may have noticed, i'm a fan of the long comments aswell, they just warm the heart! i've been saving my pennies for a trip across the pond, and it'd be wonderful if it actually worked! i need a vacation, so badly... *shrugs* all in good time i suppose
