In this life, you're gonna have friends who don't realize that sometimes you really have other stuff to do besides hang out with them. I have that problem with one or two of my friends (but most of them are really good about it.)
Right now I am taking care of my 89 year old grandpa - and my mom, who is undergoing chemo and radiation. As well as working full time. My best friends, the people who know me better than anyone, know that I love them and would never intentionally neglect them.
Maybe you should find some more understanding friends.
