Hello you lovely people! I was tagged by the man, the myth, the legend himself @adam_bovary to take part in the '7 weeks, 7 questions' challenge dreamt up by @fredhincanada. (If you haven't seen it, click HERE to check out his blog post).
After taking a look at the questions, I figured the easiest would be:
4. A video game that you have spent the most hours playing.
Ok, I know how this looks. I swear I'm not a toxic shitlord like a solid 75% of the playerbase.
I started playing Dota 2 nearly 11 years ago with a group of friends. Basic premise is there's two teams of 5, each player with a different role. The objective is to earn gold, buy items, and kill the enemy Heroes/Defenses. The learning curve is...steep. I'd say that's probably the case with any MOBA if you're starting out with no clue like I did. We were messing around, playing against bots for a month or two before finally entering the hell that is public matchmaking.
I love this game for how strategic it tends to be, though it's definitely 'devolved' a bit over time into more of a brawling-type game. I'm definitely not the biggest fan of the direction the game has gone (that would be a whole blog post on its own), but I still enjoy playing with the same folks I started with way back when.
If you saw this, and managed to read this far, consider yourself tagged. Until next week!
