I don't do blogging.
That's a strange start to a blog post, I know, but it's true. I can count on one hand the number of times I've ever made what you could consider a 'blog post'. I don't often have things on my mind that I think are important enough to bother calling out, I usually just shrug it off and move on. However, I've been struggling with this ever since I became a member here:
Commenting on pictures and photosets is extremely difficult.
I don't mean the process by which a comment is submitted, that part is obviously simple. I mean it's a struggle to phrase a comment in such a way that it doesn't seem aggressively creepy or super objectifying. It's a hard balance, considering the subject matter at hand. I want to express my appreciation for the image(s) in question but I don't want it to just boil down to an objectification like 'nice tits!' or something similar that. I'm also not well-versed enough in the practice of photography to be able to identify a particularly well-shot picture to comment from that perspective.
Maybe I'm overthinking this...
