Never Fold

Twisting words at random spots
Life is good but you are not
fill me with grief and sorrow and such
but I will never fold
Pinch my spine with tales of woe
laugh at all my flaws until Im old
kill me with looks that are icy and cold
but I will never fold
your days are empty unless you can
hurt someone and hurt them bad
to make up for all the joy you never had
but I will never fold
some turn a cheek some do not
some have remembered and some have forgot
my job is clear to protect the whole lot
so I can never fold
