Reflecting back on the year of 2012 there are many things I'de rather forget and there are a few memories I'll hold onto going into the new year. However on the whole I'm pretty happy to be leaving 2012 behind. Having turned the big 30 this year it has left me in a bit of a no-mans land regarding my life and this for me will just not do going into 2013. It is definitely time for Change and I am planning on embracing the New year with an "Its about me now" attitude. I dare not brag about what 2013 has in store for me or about what I'm "going to do" this year that i haven't done in previous years. I find making resolutions is just an unnecessary pressure on ones self to make things, that might not be the right option in the long run, happen. So all I will say is that 2013 will be a year that i will be sure to embrace in both the physical and mental aspects of my life.
I have no doubt that 2013 will be a turning point for me and that i will be constantly reminding myself not to take life to seriously and to enjoy what i can when i can. It will be another year as, if not more challenging as the first 30 years of my life and this is an exciting yet slightly daunting prospect. There is a movie quote that caught me last night "If you did not have fear what would you be doing today?". This resonated with me in a massive way and it is time for me to change my way of thinking to being fully open to all the possibilities i might have in life instead of playing it safe all the time. This will take practice but I'm sure the concept of embracing instead of hesitating will solidify itself in my decision making in 2013.
I wish you all a Happy New Year and i hope that 2013 is a fantastic year for you all in whatever you do, wherever you might go and with whomever you might spend it.
