just had the most epic thunder and lightning storm... Came out with this on the other side of it... (needs a little work but the bulk is there)...
Crisp flashes of stuttering light,
A sharp crack breaks through the dark of night,
Followed by a rolling, fathomless growl,
The thunderous beast is on the prowl.
It's slashing claws and flowing mane,
Forged from howling winds and lashing rain,
A roaring beast savage and wild,
Mother natures menacing child.
A spirit untamed, monstrous and free,
Churning up the bearing sea,
Forsaking earthly creatures as they quiver and cower,
An unyielding force of celestial power.
Then, as if bored of its barbaric game,
The feral brute begins to wane,
It's display of dominance now in the past,
The raging beast, asleep at last.
