I now have my Ladytron ticket
I had to fight my way through 1,000s of freshers on Oxford Road to get to Manchester University, past what I believe was a Falon Gong stall calling on people to leave the Chinese Communist Party, before I got to the Union building.
Where I got my grubby mits on that lovely ticket. The gig is at the University on 16 October, hopefully I will be able to get some pictures this time.
My friend Rob also got me a ticket to see the insane hyperactive Japanese punk band Melt Banana who are playing on November 11. Maybe not the most appropriate way to spend Armistice Day!?
Watched Miyazakis' latest "Howl's Moving Castle" , at the Cornerhouse, with my friend Yokho on Saturday; neither of us were that impressed. The animation was excellent of course, but the film seemd a little slight and over-romantic (especially the ending, which was bad) in comparison with his other movies. It also bore quite a strong resemblance in setting to "Kikis Delivery Service", which I thought was much better.

I think i am going to do a question on why states encounter terrorism. Obviously there is an awful lot of ground there, but it gives chance to explore nuclear deterrants and so on. Should be quite interesting!
